Prioritizing Skiing to Get to The TOP

You have a background as a professional free skier, which is something we admire. “How did you manage to get this far?” By prioritizing skiing over almost everything else and basking in the positive energy that surrounded me, now that I was fortunate enough to live in a place where the majority of people were on vacation, I was able to achieve success. And, of course, I put in a lot of practice time.

I made a rookie mistake early in my career when I agreed to collaborate with a brand that I had no personal experience with. I had compromised on my integrity because the economics of the contract was too tempting to turn down at the last minute. I gained a great deal from that experience, and I have avoided working with brands with which I do not completely identify since then. My skiing career has been extended by the lessons I’ve learned, as well as the freedom to pursue and combine creative impulses, film trips, and competitions whenever I feel like it, which has resulted in me never becoming bored with skiing. It is the fact that free sking is not about winning competitions or keeping track of where the needle is on a stopwatch that appeals to me the most about it. These are the non-measurable factors that influence the development of creative and stylistic ideas.

When There Aren’t Any Ski Slopes Nearby, What Kind of Sports Do You Participate in?

“I enjoy surfing, stand-up paddling, and riding mountain and gravel bikes whenever I have the opportunity.” All four activities are a perfect complement to my skiing because they allow me to have intense nature experiences while also placing demands on my balance and ability to read terrain in the best way. Occasionally, both surfing and mountain biking have provided me with the same euphoric feelings of happiness as a good powder day on the slopes.

Have Correct Equipment

“When I leave my world, the commands ‘TracBack’ and ‘Save Position’ are absolutely necessary. These are without a doubt the features that I use the most when I go on adventures – whether in the mountains, on the water, or in the woods, it is essential to be able to find my way back home and convenient to be able to save locations that I would like to visit again. The piste map feature is particularly useful for skiers. This allows me to eliminate the wet paper cards in my pocket and the cold fingers on my mobile phone. I also have no need to be concerned about overcrowded pockets or a phone with a short battery life thanks to ‘Music’ and ‘Garmin Pay.’

Is It Important to You That You Keep Moving and Getting Better All the Time?

“I develop when I am having fun, and I have fun when I am developing. However, this does not imply that I am faced with a chicken or an egg dilemma, because first and foremost, I need to have fun, which I am able to do when the shape is right and I am with great company. I consider it a bonus that when the two elements come together, it frequently results in my moving.

What Do You Do to Keep Your Motivation Levels High?

“I surround myself with friends and schedule time for myself to nerd out on the finer points of the sport and the surrounding lifestyle.” It gives me an enormous amount of satisfaction when I have the opportunity to refine the stylistic elements without being pressed for time, because then it is no longer a monotonous repetition – instead, each trip is new, developing, and motivating. In freeskiing, it is the entire journey, from the bottom to the top and back again, that is important. Every trip has a unique story to tell, and I am a big fan of that.
